Treading Air Surreal Art Print
Description
Treading Air is a surreal art print about trying so hard to get somewhere and somehow staying in exactly the same place.
It’s that quicksand feeling you get in dreams when you’re trying to run, but your body won’t move fast enough. You can see where you want to go. You’re putting everything into getting there. And somehow, you’re still stuck.
The original painting came from that feeling of working toward something you desperately want while progress feels painfully, impossibly slow.
Bright colors and strange, dreamlike imagery turn that frustration into something you can actually see.
Printed from my original Treading Air painting for anyone who knows what it feels like to be caught between where you are and where you’re trying to be.
